Wielding a 12-inch Waza speaker, upgraded Tube Logic technology, six voicings with two flavours each, and five independent FX sections for a total of fifteen effects, the all-new BOSS Katana Artist Gen 3 definitely brings the goods. This 100W, AB class combo lays down a slightly British sonic foundation that you can build any kind of tone on, from crisp cleans to cracking distortion.
The Katana Artist Gen 3: Refined Sound and Feel
In addition to upgraded Tube Logic tech, this third-generation Katana newly features a Pushed Amp setting that gives you the rich, responsive and saturated sound of a vintage combo. Not only that, you're set up with a Bloom switch for injecting extra expressiveness into your sound, while the eight available Tone Settings enable you to save your favourite amp-and-effect settings so you can call them up at any time. You also get a Contour control and three selectable Global EQs for broader tweaking, while for your leads, there's the dedicated Solo section.
Practical Perks
Besides impressive tone-shaping options, the Katana Artist Gen 3 boasts ample connection options, including a Power Amp input for hooking up preamps, stompboxes and amp modellers. You're also free to connect the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter (sold separately) for wireless music playback or plug in your go-to expression pedal or foot controller. In other words, this BOSS amp supports you in any situation, whether you're honing licks at home, recording new material in the studio, or slinging riffs on stage.

Enorm veelzijdig met geluiden en heeft een effect loop aansluiting (heeft Kat50 niet, die ik terug zond).. Er zit geen looper in en ook geen stemapparaat en een switchpanel GA-FC EX moet er praktisch gezien wel bij, ook thuis. De power amp is te verkleinen, ideaal voor thuis. Neem ook wel de Bluetooth uitbreiding voor meespelen ( als een usb-speaker) en ook voor instellingen wijzigen met je telefoon of tablet ( zonder kan wel, maar dan alleen met een usb-c draad naar de computer (Mac of Win). Lekker geluid!, Kost wat meer in de serie Katana maar hier krijg je geen spijt van.
